So, it has been about a month since you asked me a rather big, important, question...  I just wanted to let you know how much your being in my life has meant to me.

Your involvement in my life has made me the happiest I have EVER been.  Before that, I was able to feign happiness, but I wasn't really happy. Just knowing I have made you smile brings a huge smile on my face.  

At the same time, knowing I have hurt you in any way makes me incredibly sad.  I promised to not cause you pain, but lately, I feel I have caused nothing but pain.

I must admit, I feel as though I have facilitated some fights. But, I want you to know, it is not because of you.  DISTANCE is killing me.  Especially in this last month, I have felt the distance between us more and more. It kills me.  My life lately has been... chaotic to say the least.  However, you are that stable part of my life that I feel I can fall back on.

You asked me last night, "Are YOU happy?" I replied with "Happier than YOU apparently..." That was the wrong response.  I should have said, "Happier WITH you." That would have been the truth.  

I hate our arguments. But, we have problems.  We knew coming into this relationship that long-distance relationships can be hard... I feel you are more than worth it though.  We cannot change each other, that is a simple fact. But, frankly, I do not WANT to change you.  I fell in love with you and every one of your quarks.  Yes, you can be short-tempered... BUT you can also be sweet, sensitive, caring, funny, romantic, smart, dorky... I love everything about you.

I am not going to "change" for you. That is impossible. I will however try and make the problems that we have less of a problem. I started that last night when I promised myself to attempt to connect more with other people around me... That is to say, I attempted to go out and enjoy the company of other people...(I went out for coffee with Taryn and Evan).  And I will continue to do this... I will also attempt to be less inquisitive; although that will be hard.  It is not that I do not trust you... I just have a genuine fear of the unknown. Fear of being left in the dark. And... Sometimes... I just don't know what to say. I am afraid that I will push some unknown button.  Other times, I simply have nothing more to add of value to the conversation.  However, even if I feel i have nothing of value to add, i love to hear your voice.  I know this more than likely causes problems with your mother though. So, I will do one of two things. I will either attempt to talk to you less, or find more things of value to talk about.

Anyway... I apologize again for pushing when I should not have pushed.
